ABS Consulting, ORNL Pool Resources to Coordinate National Security with Business Objectives
(Knoxville, TN) Determining how best to coordinate national security needs with business objectives is the focus of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between ABS Consulting and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). The agreement formalizes ongoing research and looks ahead to collaborations that will pool resources of ABS Consulting and the Department of Energy lab.
Through services to be provided in accordance with the MOU, ABS Consulting and ORNL will provide a complete range of intelligent and comprehensive security and crisis management solutions to enterprise companies, government agencies and critical infrastructure owners and operators. The unique arrangement combines extensive risk management capabilities with technical and industry operational experience to assist in identifying and eliminating the weakest links in international enterprise and government security, risk and crisis management programs – helping organizations prepare for the unforeseen while advancing their business objectives.
The next step will be to develop a business plan that draws upon the assets of ABS Consulting and ORNL in pursuing goals outlined in the MOU. The business plan will detail technology innovations and analysis, assessment, prediction and decision support. Completion of the plan is scheduled for March 2010.
The MOU is in effect for five years but may be extended by mutual agreement.
