QAFCO Achieves Energy Management Certification From ABS Quality Evaluations
小蝌蚪视频 announces that its operating subsidiary ABS Quality Evaluations (ABS QE) has recently awarded Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO) with an ISO 50001:2011 certification for its efforts in energy efficiency. ABS QE has also certified QAFCO to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and Responsible Care international standards.
Currently QAFCO is one of only a few large scale organizations in Qatar to receive an energy management certification. In achieving the certification, QAFCO identified that with “serious global energy challenges, including increasing costs, risk of supply disruptions and growing environmental impact, energy efficiency becomes increasingly important.”
ISO 50001 is a voluntary international standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that provides organizations with a regulatory framework for energy management systems. The standard establishes a framework that industrial plants; commercial, institutional and government facilities; and entire organizations can use to manage their overall energy consumption.
