Overcoming Pandemic Challenges: The Companies of Red Megacentro Receive ISO 50001: 2018 Energy Management System Certification
The companies of Red Megacentro, Megacentro and Megafrio Chile, a network of holding companies dedicated to the real estate management of large distribution centers, warehouses, mini-warehouses, commercial premises and offices in Chile, Peru and the United States, together have obtained their ISO 50001: 2018 Energy Management System certification, making them one of the first companies in this sector.
In a ceremony held this Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at the Megacentro main office, the Head of Industry and Mining of the Energy Sustainability Agency, Mr. Juan Pablo Playero, and members of the Enermás Consultant and Energy Management teams from Megacentro and Megafrío Chile, received their certification from ABS Quality Evaluations (ABS QE) Chile with ANAB accreditation from the United States.
This standard confirms the commitment of Red Megacentro and its companies Megacentro and Megafrío, Certified B Companies, to continue promoting an energy efficiency policy, and remain responsible for the environment and sustainability in the same year that the new law in Chile, EE No. 21305 (energy efficiency), has been implemented.
ABS QE Chile delivered the certificates and congratulations to the company through its Customer Service Deputy Manager Mrs. Rossina Moreno, who highlighted that this success is the result of teamwork between Megacentro and Megafrío Chile, in which there have been high requirements and several dedicated hours of work to maintain their system. This is noteworthy as it is currently a unique time in Chile in which all sectors have operations and equipment affected by the pandemic.
Superando Retos de la Pandemia: Las Empresas de la Red Megacentro Reciben la Certificación del Sistema de Gestión Energética ISO 50001:2018
La empresas de Red Megacentro, Megacentro y Megafrio Chile quienes desarrollan sus operaciones logísticas, en distintas posiciones geográficas, en múltiples formatos y con todas las facilidades que otorga un parque logístico, contando con 46 centros en operación a lo largo de Chile, Perú y Estados Unidos logran obtener su certificación de su Sistema ISO 50001:2018, siendo dentro de las primeras empresas en este sector.
En una sencilla ceremonia realizada este martes 3 de mayo de 2022, en la Oficina Principal de Megacentro, que contó con la presencia del Jefe de Industria y Minería de la Agencia de Sostenibilidad Energética, sr Juan Pablo Playero, miembros de la Consultora Enermás y los equipos de Gestión de la Energía de Megacentro y Megafrío Chile, quienes lideraron y posteriormente lograron su certificación con ABS Quality Evaluations (ABS QE) Chile con acreditación ANAB de Estados Unidos.
Esta norma conforma el compromiso de Red Megacentro y sus empresas Megacentro y Megafrío, Empresas B Certificadas, a seguir impulsando una política de eficiencia energética, siendo responsables con el medioambiente y la sostenibilidad, en un año donde en Chile entra en vigencia la nueva Ley de Eficiencia Energética No. 21305.
ABS QE Chile entregó los Certificados y las felicitaciones a la compañía a través de su Subgerente de Servicio al Cliente Sra. Rossina Moreno quien destacó que es el resultado de un trabajo en equipo de Megacentro y Megafrío Chile, en el cual han existido altos requerimientos y han dedicado muchas horas de trabajo para mantener su sistema en un especial momento en Chile, en que todos los sectores se han visto afectados para dar continuidad a sus operaciones, donde todos los esfuerzos estuvieron concentrados para controlar la pandemia y mantener sus equipos protegidos.
