ABS Quality Evaluations Celebrates 30 Years of Certification Leadership
ABS Quality Evaluations (ABS QE) has proudly reached its 30th year of operation as a world-leading certification body. Recognized globally as a leader in certified performance and business assurance solutions, ABS QE provides accredited management system certification audits, training and supply chain assessment services in over 40 countries.
"When I look back at the history of our organization, we started operations in the Americas and as our services evolved over the years, we've built a strong international business with a major presence in Asia Pacific," says Dominic Townsend, President of ABS QE. "2020 is an exciting year for us as we continue to focus on our core capabilities in quality, environment, health and safety, and are now executing a strategy in high growth areas such as transportation and corporate social responsibility. ABS QE has celebrated several banner years on the journey toward continuous improvement. In 2013, the company became the first audit provider accredited by the Center for Offshore Safety to conduct safety and environmental systems (SEMS) audits for assets operating in the Gulf of Mexico. The QE team reached another milestone in 2015 when it achieved global accreditation status from the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to certify organizations to the Asset Management Standard, ISO 55001:2014. Building on this achievement, ABS QE awarded ISO 55001 standard certification to both University Health System in San Antonio, the first healthcare system globally to receive this Asset Management Standard Certification, and to Atlanta Airlines Terminal Corporation, the first international airport certified to ISO 55001.
Triumphs throughout ABS QE's 30 years demonstrate an unwavering commitment to supporting clients and strengthening connections across diverse industry verticals.
