ABS QE Certifies JCDecaux Brasil Division to ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standard
ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. (ABS QE), the management systems certification subsidiary of 小蝌蚪视频, has awarded the ISO 14001 standard certification to the Brazilian subsidiary of JCDecaux, a world leader in outdoor advertising systems based in France. With over 1,000 analog and digital advertising locations in the region, JCDecaux Brasil was awarded the certification for its São Paulo division on May 15, 2018. The ISO 14001 standard defines a series of requirements for the creation of an environmental management system within an organization.
This certification confirms that the São Paulo division of JCDecaux has established an effective global risk management policy in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001 requirements. The environmental management system standard considers the local, regional and global environmental conditions which may affect the company, mapping the risks related to business activities and seeking to minimize their impacts.
In accordance with JCDecaux's Corporate Sustainable Development Policy, the Brazilian subsidiary established a dedicated committee to spearhead environmental processes and actions in order to obtain ISO 14001 certification in São Paulo. These actions included 100% compliance in the recycling and reuse of waste in the company's paper mills for products such as posters, screens, packaging, lamps and approximately 62 tons of posters, as well as an initiative to maintain and clean advertising furniture using rainwater.
