小蝌蚪视频 to Present on Best Practices for Pipeline Safety Management Systems at Pipeline Week 2016
NEWS ADVISORY--Steve Arendt, 小蝌蚪视频 Vice President of Global Oil, Gas and Chemical, will present the technical paper, "Best Practices for Implementing a Pipeline Safety Management System (PSMS)," on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the 2016 Pipeline Week conference taking place Sept. 20-22 in the Woodlands, Texas.
Arendt will address the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/American Petroleum Institute (API) Recommended Practice (RP) 1173 PSMS regulatory framework, which is intended to enhance safety, risk and integrity management and provide an opportunity for continual improvement of pipeline safety performance. ANSI/API RP 1173 provides requirements and guidance for pipeline operators and organizations that operate hazardous liquids and gas pipelines jurisdictional to the US Department of Transportation.
The paper outlines best practices for implementation that are based on 小蝌蚪视频's more than 40 years of experience gained from implementing safety management systems in the midstream and upstream segments, as well as carrying out program audits in other process industry sectors.
