ISO 45001 Standard: Addressing Occupational Health and Safety

October 5, 2017 | 10:00 - 11:00 am CDT

ISO 45001 Standard: Addressing Occupational Health and Safety

To address the need for improving health and safety through occupational health and safety management systems, ISO has developed the new standard ISO 45001. The ISO 45001 standard replaces OHSAS 18001, which previously established the minimum requirements for occupational health and safety best practice.

ISO 45001 provides a global framework to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions. The second draft version, ISO/DIS 45001.2, was recently approved by a committee of occupational health and safety experts.

This webinar reviews the requirements of the new ISO 45001 standard as compared to the OHSAS 18001 standard and also looks at ISO 45001's alignment with the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.

In addition to this webinar covering occupational health and safety, more information and resources are available related to the ISO 9001:2015 standard and ISO 14001:2015 standard transitions.
